    God Prayer And Liberty

Lately I have been reviewing moments in history when in difficult times God was spoken of often by presidents, senators and law makers in high positions.  In the world today there is much trouble.  If we ever needed God, we need him now.  I am not here to preach to anybody, but I thank God for the freedom to write these words.  Regardless of all the effort to keep God out of government, and regardless of the fact that some laws are being passed against God and prayer in our great nation, we are still blessed today.  Every time we spend money the words are still there, "In God We Trust."  I have listened to several presidents as they addressed the nation during my lifetime, and I heard them talk about God and ask for prayer.  Often I heard them shout, "God bless America..."  I have also noticed reference to God on old recordings of past presidents that were recorded before I was born, and I have read in many books how that our leaders for more than 200 years have asked God for help in government affairs.  All the presidents I heard with my ears spoke about God, and every president I read about spoke with positive words about God.  There were some very tense moments when they called on the people of the USA to pray.  Our president today is often heard asking the people of this great nation to pray.  We still need God to bless America.  Our soldiers need us to continue to hold them up in prayer.  More than 2000 of our loved ones have lost their lives in the present struggle in Iraq.

As we enter a new year I have pledged to take a strong stand for my right to continue enjoying freedom to speak about God, and pray to God anywhere at any time including school rooms, court rooms and under the star spangled banner.  Our freedom came with a great price.  That price included much blood that was shed by thousands of soldiers fighting for our liberty, calling on God and depending on our prayers.  We the people did not create freedom, and it is my prayer that those who love the liberty of this great nation will stand strong for the cause of freedom while trusting in the source of all liberty.  We should never be afraid or ashamed to say..."God help us..." especially when we find this priceless treasure of freedom being threatened.

Thank God the ten commandments are engraved in stone at the supreme court of the USA.  No matter where those commandments may or may not appear, our liberty depends on keeping those laws that were delivered by the supreme judge over all judges and the ultimate power above all powers long before there was a USA.

Yes, Yes... I agree with you. The bigist problem that I am starting to see, with our freedom of speech in America, is the definition of who God is!
Every false religion in the world is starting to rise up under our freedom of religion laws, and our laws are protecting those false religions.
In Indiana, a new license's plate was offered to it's resedence with the slogan, "In God We Trust", the problem that I have seen is this; Christians are driving around with this plate on there car to express the right to say they trust in God, this is good, is it not? Well, I see christians with the plate, I see muslems with the plate, I see hindues with the plate. I know an atheist who does not believe there is even a God and he has the plate.
We have, in America, lost the defination of who God is in the Government and in the Law so, we the people have come from a place that established law's to protect a person so that he/she could worship The Lord God; The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, with our own convictions, to a nation that protects every false religion in the world.
We must, in this day and erra as christians profess more than, "In God We Trust", we must profess who He is!
In the day's of old the Nation of Israel not only proclaimed the Lord God but identified who he is every time he was proclaimed. We as Christian American's need to stand up with our own freedom of speech and not only proclaimed that we trust in God but we need to proclaim who he is in the same sentence.

                                          Sincerely

I am blessed to know that there are still some godly and god-fearing people in America.
